STAGE: SS21 Sassari – Argentiera 2 (Power Stage)        DISTANCE: 7,10 km

WEATHER: Partly cloudy

ROAD CONDITIONS: Dry

Car #30 C. Ingram – C. Drew (Skoda Fabia Evo): “Very satisfied, it was such a difficult rally. Yesterday it was brutal. To get another podium… We are still leading the WRC2 Junior. That is our target. Nearly perfect weekend. Four good scores, we can push for the win on the next 3”.

Car #27 J. Huttunen – M. Lukka (Ford Fiesta MkII): “It was good. I do not know if it was bad luck or what, we had 2 punctures and lost too much time. But otherwise all OK, I have to thank my team and all my sponsors”.

Car #18 J. Solans – R. Sanjuan (Citroen C3): “It feels amazing, honestly. I am so happy and so proud. I think we did a solid drive, with no mistakes at all. I want to say thanks to the team, the car was perfect all the time and to the Spanish Federation who gave us the support for one more year and we showed them that it is worthy”.

Car #21 N. Gryazin – K. Aleksandrov (Skoda Fabia Evo): “It feels good. The most difficult part on Sunday is to drive to the finish. Finally, we are here! I was managing some places completely off the throttle. In this one, I just drove through. We needed to be here. Thanks to the team, co-driver and everyone. It was a nice weekend, we had luck, no punctures, no issues. It was nice”.

Car #4 E. Lappi – J. Ferm (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “We can be proud of our pace that has been good on every surface. We just need to make it together. Stupid mistake in Croatia, yesterday I was a bit unlucky with this hit on the rock. I had a big push, a lot of understeer with the softs in some places, but big attack definitely”.

Car #11 T. Neuville – M.Wydaeghe (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “What might have been is for the last 5 races already. Really disappointing, but we do not give up. We fight hard and often on the limit. Yesterday I lost a bit the concentration. We may lose a few points here, but we did what we could. It really needs to get everything together to be competitive and so far it has not been the case. We continue to push hard. Hopefully, we will bring back a good team result at least, a good result for all the efforts that
the team has put in”.

Car #33 E. Evans – S. Martin (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “It has been another difficult weekend for sure. Some positives to take from it as well, the performance is there but it is difficult to come away with so little points again”.

Car #44 G. Greensmith – J.Andersson (Ford Puma Rally1): “For sure today we made some good steps forward compared to the rest of the weekend. It has been a very disappointing weekend. I am also disappointed in myself for the comments I made after stage 1. They were irrational and unfair towards the team. I’d like to apologize to them. We do this as part of a team and I certainly didn’t display that on Thursday afternoon. We move on to Kenya now and get this back on track”.

Car #18 T. Katsuta – A.Johnston (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “It has been a very tough weekend. Many things were very challenging. I am pretty happy to be here. Thanks to the team and especially Aaron. We had a problem yesterday and we survived. We can continue in the next rally with bigger confidence. I am quite sure we can improve quite a lot for the next one”.

Car #69 K. Rovanpera – J. Halttunen (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “For sure the most important thing is that we get more points than Thierry. This one was tricky. I could not do more with the car I was fighting so much with the car, all the time. Even the steering was so rough on the ruts. It was kicking me out of the rut, not so enjoyable”.

Car #7 P.L. Loubet – V. Landais (Ford Puma Rally1): “It is very good. I feel very well in the car. Thanks to the team for this amazing car, they did something very special. Thanks for all the support, to all my partners and all the people that are around me for believing in me. I hope we will continue like this step by step during the season”.

Car #6 D. Sordo – C. Carrera (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “I am not really happy. I would have liked to fight a bit more with Craig. But he had an amazing speed and we had some problems and lost some time with the dust in the fist stage. I did not want to make any mistake for the team. If Ott can win and we take third it is really good points for the manufacturers, which I am here for. I might have been much faster but we need to take the points. That is the target”.

Car #42 C. Breen – P. Nagle (Ford Puma Rally1): “I am thrilled. Honestly, it has been a really good weekend. The car is definitely getting better and better and I am feeling more comfortable. It took a little bit of time but she’s some yoke! ”.

Car #8 O. Tänak – M. Järveoja (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “It has been very challenging. Especially since it is the beginning of this generation. Definitely very happy, especially for the mechanics, they put in incredible efforts at the end of last year and at the beginning of this year. They made a good job to keep the car going. It was definitely challenging. We made some steps and managed to improve. If the confidence is there we can do a good job. We need to keep working, there is still plenty to do”.
