STAGE: SS20 Cala Flumini 2      DISTANCE: 12,55 km
WEATHER: Cloudy
ROAD CONDITIONS: Dry
Car #4 E. Lappi – J. Ferm (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “I tried something, a bit extreme settings on this stage. I was not really completely saving the tyres. We are trying things to help the guys in the next round”.
Car #11 T. Neuville – M.Wydaeghe (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “[Push in the next one]That is the target. The only goal of the day is to push as hard as we can in the Power Stage and take the maximum points. It will not an easy ride, but I am sure we will enjoy it”.
Car #33 E. Evans – S. Martin (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “[Have you tried something?] No, no. It is impossible to know what the car is doing when you are driving at that speed. It is just a matter of saving the tyres as best as we can and seeing what we can do now”.
Car #44 G. Greensmith – J.Andersson (Ford Puma Rally1): “We tried something else going into here, and it seems like one of the best changes this weekend. We made the best changes, the car is more predictable and easier to drive. The Power Stage will be mega-rough as usual. We will just see it through and rest for the next one”.
Car #18 T. Katsuta – A.Johnston(Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “It is OK, the tyre shape is quite good, quite enough for us. I wanted to see the feeling with the car for the Power Stage. It is OK”.
Car #69 K. Rovanpera – J. Halttunen (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “Let’s see. The softs we have are not the best ones. For sure some guys have better ones but let’s see. Of course we will try to do our best”.
Car #7 P.L. Loubet – V. Landais (Ford Puma Rally1): “We took it very easy this one, very careful. Focus is now on the Power Stage, to go through and finish the rally”.
Car #6 D. Sordo – C. Carrera (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “Honestly it is difficult, we are just driving. Sunday is very difficult to drive with no target. We need to drive with no push and at the same time you need to be concentrated”.
Car #42 C. Breen – P. Nagle (Ford Puma Rally1): “The plan is: bring it home. Honestly, it is a tricky Power Stage and the more you take risks, the more you push the more chance you lose a huge time. We are in a very good position and it would be a shame to throw it away”.
Car #8 O. Tänak – M. Järveoja (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “We put the hard tyres on this one. The second loop is always very abrasive. It is the only stage in this loop in which the hards work, but now we go back to softs”.
