STAGE: SS11 Erula – Tula 1      DISTANCE: 15,27km
WEATHER: Sunny
ROAD CONDITIONS: Dry
Car #33 E. Evans – S. Martin (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “The surface is pretty bad. The last one was very low grip and quite slow. Here it is very difficult to find any grip and even worse in places. It is like always here”.
Car #44 G. Greensmith – C. Patterson (Ford Puma Rally1): ”We made some changes after the last stage and they seem to have made the car better than it was. At least we are heading in the right direction”.
Car #11 T. Neuville – M.Wydaeghe (Hyundai i20 N Rally1):”I had a good stage, but the tyres started to overheat a bit early into the stage so I had to manage a bit the traction towards the end. Let’s see how the second loop goes. We were able to take out a decent amount of time in the first stage already. I think it wasn’t too bad”.
Car #69 K. Rovanpera – J. Halttunen (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “Now we had a bit more grip, I tried to do better than before. For sure in the sections where it is low grip it feels I cannot do anything with the car. I cannot do what I want, there we struggle, especially in the narrow parts. Here it was more wide so I tried to push a bit”.
Car #18 T. Katsuta – D. Barritt (Toyota GR Yaris Rally1): “I have no idea what happened. I stepped over the tarmac and the front bumper got stuck straight away and we stalled. Luckily we do not have any big problem. Quite a big surprise” [front damage, got out to check the front].
Car #16 A. Fourmaux – A. Coria (Ford Puma Rally1): “It was a tricky stage, I did not find the pace actually. I do not know, this morning it is not working but it is OK. It is a long day”.
Car #6 D. Sordo – C. Carrera (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “I do not know the split times. Craig took a bit time out of me in the stage before. I like a bit more this stage with a bit more grip. But he is starting a bit more to the back so it is good for him. Yesterday I started to the back, so now it is equal”.
Car #42 C. Breen – P. Nagle (Ford Puma Rally1): ”I did not have a good rhythm in there to be honest. The pacenotes were not quite as good. But still, it is all OK”.
Car #7 P.L. Loubet – V. Landais (Ford Puma Rally1): “I was very very careful with the tyres because I had a puncture and I prefer to be sure to have a spare one for the second loop” [also lost time overshooting a right-hander].

Car #8 O. Tänak – M. Järveoja (Hyundai i20 N Rally1): “We put on mixed tyres and they actually seem to work nicely. It was a good choice” [hard compound on the front and soft on the rear].
Car #20 A. Mikkelsen – T. Eriksen (Skoda Fabia Evo): “We have a big lead now, so I am just trying to control. If the others are quicker that means we have to control”.
Car #21 N. Gryazin – K. Aleksandrov (Skoda Fabia Evo): “It was quite OK in some places, but it is so bumpy. In the last part I lost too much, I had no grip. Maybe it is the same for everyone. We will try to find something, maybe grip from setup. It is much different from yesterday. It is difficult to get the pace here”.
Car #18 J. Solans – R. Sanjuan (Citroen C3): “It looks like we are closing the gap to Nikolay. But the main focus is the guys behind. These roads were quite destroyed, I do not know how they will be in the second pass. We have more hard tyres than softs, that will help a little bit”.

Car #31 B. Bulacia – M. Marti (Skoda Fabia Evo): “We did a good stage, very clean. We made a mistake in Tempio and damaged one wheel. Our strategy is a little bit compromised but we will keep pushing and see how it goes”.
